I was talking to an old school friend the other day about mental health, and how some employers totally understand and support the mental health agenda, whereas others just pay it lip service. And that\u2019s such a shame because imagine you\u2019re going through a hard time, you go to work, well to pay the bills, but it also casts as a distraction from all the thoughts and feelings and situations in your head. Now imagine that the work environment makes you feel ten times worse and there\u2019s no flexibility, it suffocates you. How does that make you feel? From an observer, sad. From experience, more overwhelmed than can be physically articulated.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve always fundamentally believed your health comes first, whether that be physical or mental. If something or someone or some people aren\u2019t supportive of that, well that means you\u2019re not important to them. And that simply is it.\u00a0Actions really do speak louder than words – if you support an agenda, whatever that may be, you can’t give it less than your all. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
